Challenge

Google for Education’s vision is to help expand learning for everyone by supporting education through its products, programs, and philanthropy. This includes offering cloud-based solutions like G Suite for free to schools nationwide to help educators create, collaborate, and communicate more efficiently. But for some teachers, the learning curve is quite steep, and when in-school education transformed to at-home learning overnight, we urgently needed to educate the educators.

Solution

We rapidly built a secure online portal where teachers can go and learn about G Suite at their own pace, and in a way that they’re accustomed to. The lessons had how-to videos, interactive pages, games, and quizzes that kept our busy teachers engaged and helped them retain information. This second-screen experience served up a wealth of one-of-a-kind celebrity interviews, interactive games, and behind-the-scenes exclusives, all about the shows subscribers were (or would soon be) passionate about. We then scaled the program internationally, translating to multiple languages and tailoring content for specific nuances.
